How do I remove an email account from Microsoft Outlook?

Before performing these steps, please be certain you do not need to first do a backup of the email account contents currently available to you in Outlook. Removing an account from Microsoft Oultook is irreversible, and any content you have downloaded in that email account will be PERMANENTLY deleted.

In the upper left-hand corner, please click File tab

 

 

 

 

On the next screen, click the Account Settings button, and then the Account Settings option:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the next window, select the account you wish to remove, and then click the X Remove button above the list:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the warning window, IF YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU DO NOT NEED A BACKUP, click the Yes button to continue:

 

 

 

When complete, click the Close button to continue using Microsoft Outlook.
