How do I use Remote Desktop to connect to our anySiteSolutions Hosted Server?


Microsoft Windows

  1. Click on the Start Menu and search for Remote Desktop Connection
  2. In the Computer text field, enter the server name provided by your technician.
  3. Select Show Options
  4. In the User name field, enter the username provided by your technician.
  5. Check the checkbox for: Allow me to save credentials
  6. Click the Connect button.
  7. When prompted, enter your password, and check the checkbox to save password if desired.

Mac OS X

  1. Open the Apple App Store and search for Microsoft Remote Desktop, and install the app.
  2. Open the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.
  3. Select Add PC from the Connections menu (or click the + button in the toolbar)
  4. In the PC Name text field, enter the name provided by your technician.
  5. Click the Save button.
  6. Double-click the new connection now shown in the Connection Center
  7. When prompted enter the username and password provided by your technician

iPhone, iPad, iPod, iOS

  1. Open the Apple App Store and search for Microsoft Remote Desktop, and install the Remote Desktop Mobile app.
  2. Open the RD Client app.
  3. Touch the plus sign at the upper right corner.
  4. Touch Desktop
  5. In the PC Name text field, enter the name provided by your technician.
  6. Choose your desired option in the User Account field.
  7. Touch Save at the upper right.
  8. Touch the new connection now shown in the Connection Center
  9. If prompted enter the username and password provided by your technician.

Android, Samsung, etc

  1. Search for Microsoft Remote Desktop in the Google Play store.
  2. Install the app
  3. Setup the same details discussed in the iOS section above.
